Cars are Now Safer with Biometric Security

The numerous instances of keys snatching and stealing will no more help thieves to get away with the cars. To start the cars they will have to scan the finger of authorised person at first.
Fed up of increasing risk of car theft, the auto manufacturers have come up with the unique idea of introducing biometric security access to the cars. With the increasing use of biometric technology in electronics products, it was just a matter of time to enter in auto sector.
Biometric technology products like Biometric Immobiliser, developed by Automotive Technology Research and Development (ATRD) is an attempt to minimize the risk of your car theft. After installing his device in your car, you don't need only car keys but the immobiliser ask you to scan the valid finger before activating the ignition.
For adding this feature you would require only a small dashboard mounted touchpad- that scan the finger and match it with the biometric record stored in the immobiliser's memory. Unless the two records match it won't allow the engine to fire.
To suit the purpose of family cars this technology can be programmed to register multiple fingerprints. That will allow more than one person to get access to the cars.
